In October we went to the coast for a few days. The boys alternated between playing in the water and shivering near the fire. We were able to scavenge wood off the beach to burn.
There was also plenty of castle building. And don't forget the feathers to top the turrets.
It was pretty chilly but not too cold. . . as long as you stayed near the fire. The boys seemed to not be bothered by the cold too much.
This was the first time they braved the water and actually played in it. The rule was no going into the water above your knees. They mostly obeyed that counsel.
This was lunch in the hotel room. There was a great continental breakfast but we used the fridge and microwave in our room to our advantage for lunch and dinner.
In the evening the oldest and youngest stayed up for cards. I look a little bored but I really had a good time. I like how Q is in his pajamas. He was so tired but refused to go to bed. He eventually fell asleep under the table with cards in hand. Silly boy.
Another view of the coast. It was a beautiful day!
So fun! We love going to the beach too. :-)
